Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to the MiniMinds app and the miniminds.app website (together, “MiniMinds”). Both are operated by MiniMinds, based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”).
MiniMinds lets families create bedtime stories, narration, songs and pictures with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). Accounts and purchases are for adults, so these terms are addressed to parents and legal guardians. By creating an account or using MiniMinds, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MiniMinds. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
1. Your Account
You create an account by signing in with your Apple or Google account. By doing so, you confirm that:
- You are an adult (a parent or legal guardian) and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Children use MiniMinds only with your permission and under your supervision. You decide what they create, share and watch.
- The details you give us are accurate. The name on your account is shown with everything you make public.
- You keep your sign-in secure, and you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete account. This permanently deletes your creations, uploaded photos, crystals and progress. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it in your App Store settings first.
2. Parents, Children and Purchases
Only a parent or legal guardian may buy anything in MiniMinds or manage a subscription.
- Before a purchase, the app asks a short question meant for adults (a parental check). Please do not help children get past it.
- Purchases are charged to the Apple Account signed in on the device, and you are responsible for purchases made with it.
- To stop children buying on their own, you can also turn on Screen Time purchase restrictions, or Ask to Buy in Family Sharing, on their device.
3. Crystal Club Subscriptions
Crystal Club is an auto-renewing subscription, sold in the app through the Apple App Store. It has three plans, Explorer, Storyteller and Wizard, each billed monthly or yearly.
- Each plan adds a set number of crystals to your account every month. The price, billing period and monthly crystals of every plan are shown in the app before you subscribe. Prices are set in your local currency by the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in effect, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- A yearly plan is billed once a year, but its crystals still arrive month by month: the first month's with the purchase, then one month's crystals every month for the rest of the paid year.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions), or with “Manage subscription” in the app. After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and the crystals you already received stay in your account.
- If the App Store price of a plan changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your agreement before the new price applies.
- Premium subscriptions bought in earlier versions of MiniMinds, through the App Store or Google Play, renew automatically too. They are renewed, cancelled and refunded the same way, through the store they were bought in, and while one is active, it keeps adding crystals to your account.
- When Crystal Club becomes available through Google Play, these terms apply to it too, with payment, renewal and cancellation handled by Google Play and managed in your Google Play account.
4. Crystals
Crystals are the virtual currency of MiniMinds. You spend them on creations such as stories, songs and pictures.
- Crystals come to your account with a Crystal Club subscription, with a Premium subscription from an earlier version of the app, and as gifts, such as the one-time welcome gift for new accounts.
- How many crystals a creation costs is shown before you create it. If something goes wrong while it is being made, its crystals are returned to you automatically.
- Crystals have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred to another person or account.
- Unused crystals never expire. They stay in your account for as long as it exists, including after a subscription ends.
- We may change what creations cost or which tools are offered. Such changes never affect crystals you have already spent.
- If a purchase is refunded, we take back as many crystals as it added (for a yearly plan, including every month it has filled so far) from your current balance, whichever purchase or gift those crystals came from. If your balance is lower than that, we take only what is there, so it never goes below zero.
- Crystals belong to the MiniMinds account that received them, and they are deleted with that account.
5. Refunds
Purchases in MiniMinds are processed by the store they were made in, the Apple App Store or Google Play, so that store handles refunds under its own policy. We cannot refund store purchases ourselves.
- To ask for a refund of an App Store purchase, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Purchases made through Google Play follow Google Play's refund policy.
- When you ask Apple for a refund, Apple may ask us about the purchase. You agree that we may share information about how it was used with Apple, such as whether its crystals were spent and how long you have had your account, to help Apple decide.
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
6. AI-Generated Content
Everything MiniMinds creates for you, such as stories, narration, songs and pictures, is made automatically by AI services, based on the choices, text and photos you provide.
- We guide and filter these services to keep results suitable for families, but AI can make mistakes. A creation may contain errors, look strange or not be what you asked for, and we cannot review every creation before you see it.
- Please look over a creation before sharing it with a child or with others, and report anything that is not suitable.
- Creations are made for fun and bedtime reading. They are not professional or medical advice, and facts in them may be wrong.
- Similar requests can lead to similar results, so other people may receive creations that resemble yours.
7. Your Content and Sharing
What you add to MiniMinds, such as photos, voice recordings, names and ideas, stays yours.
- You allow us to store and process it, and to send it to the service providers we use to make creations, only to run MiniMinds and make what you ask for.
- Only upload photos and recordings you have the right to use. If a photo shows someone else, you need their permission, or their parent's or guardian's if they are a child.
- Stories and songs are public when they are made; pictures are shared only if you choose to. Public creations show your name and can be seen by anyone, in the app (Stream and Discover) and on the miniminds.app website. From a creation's own page you can stop sharing it, which takes it out of Stream and Discover, or delete it. Deleting a creation is the only way to remove it from MiniMinds completely.
- Do not put personal details, such as full names, schools, addresses or phone numbers, in public creations.
- You may use your creations for personal, non-commercial purposes, for example reading them at home or sharing them with family and friends.
- You can report a creation, or block the person who shared it, with its “…” button. What you report is hidden for you straight away, and when several people report the same creation, it is hidden for everyone until we review it.
8. Acceptable Use
To keep MiniMinds safe for families, you agree not to:
- Create, upload or share anything violent, sexual, hateful, bullying or illegal, or anything that could frighten or harm a child.
- Use MiniMinds to harass anyone or to share other people's personal information.
- Try to get around the parental check, the crystal system or our safety filters, or open extra accounts to collect gifts.
- Copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or access it with bots or other automated tools.
We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these terms.
9. Intellectual Property
The MiniMinds app and website, the MiniMinds name and logo, the Pofi character, our designs and the ready-made content we provide belong to MiniMinds or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable license, which we may withdraw, to use MiniMinds for non-commercial purposes under these terms.
10. App Store and Apple's Standard EULA
If you downloaded MiniMinds from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the app. These terms add to it; where the two conflict about your license to use the app, the Apple EULA prevails.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for MiniMinds and its content.
- If you downloaded MiniMinds from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
11. Availability and Changes
- We work to keep MiniMinds running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and its features, tools and the prices of creations may change.
- MiniMinds relies on other services, such as sign-in with Apple and Google, the app stores and AI providers. We are not responsible for their outages or for their own terms.
- MiniMinds is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
- We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using MiniMinds after that, the updated terms apply.
